RES - Nordisk Vindkraft is planning to build a wind farm at Hornmyr, about 25 km southwest of Lycksele in Lycksele municipality, Västerbotten County. The area, which consists of heightened plateaus covered by woodland, has advantageous conditions for wind power not least because the area is sparsely populated.

The conditions for a wind farm in the area is being considered through, for instance, local hearing meetings and the environmental impact assessment (EIA) which investigates and illustrates technical as well as environmental considerations. The area is designated as an area suitable for wind power in Lycksele municipality's wind power land use plan and the national interest (riksintresse) for wind power.

During the fall of 2019, RES - Nordisk Vindkraft will hold hearings and later submit a final application for amendment of the current permit to the environmental review delegation at the County Administrative Board in Västerbotten.
